Ok, I have had a pretty dang great day. And it got SO much better! I was just checking out one of my favorite blogs "Cosmo Cricket" (they make scrapbook paper and supplies and goodies and their blog always has great ideas) and guess who won this giveaway:
"Ok, now for a giveaway. Lindsay and Eric are out of town on a rare trip together. But, just to show that Lindsay isn't the only one that can give away big prizes, one lucky person commenting today will win an Earth Love/ The Boyfriend Paper Pad, one of each of our Blackboard Albums and boxes and a Nutmeg Paper Crafting kit. I don't even know how much value that adds up to. If you're good at math, maybe you can tell me!"
Yepper, that would be me!
"Oh and you probably want to know who won yesterdays prize. Congratulations Leese Christine, send us your address and we'll send you your prize!"

Winona - 7 Pieces
Thanks to 52/52 for this super fun sketch. I have had it in my book for a while and I finally got around to making it into a card, and I love it!

Will - 6 Pieces
This is my take on a layout I found in one of my scrapbook magazines. I think it looks amazing with this BasicGrey paper!

Wren - 7 Pieces
This card came from a sketch from Unscripted Sketches, I love their sketches! I am really into circles this month for some reason. You'll see them on a lot of my Christmas cards!

Emmett - 5 Pieces
This card was inspired by a sketch from the "
Sketch This" blog. I have really enjoyed the sketches over there! I think this turned out to be a wonderfully simple card! I can't wait to see it done with other papers!

Gavyn - 6 Pieces
This sketch is also my take on a layout in one of my magazines. I love the striped paper pieces on this card. Let's be honest I just love this My Mind's Eye paper!

Savannah - 6 Pieces
This is another one of my takes on a layout from a magazine. I love the rounded corners and the horizontal strip that ties everything together.

Evalyn - 6 Pieces
This is my take on a layout I saw in one of my my magazines. I love how this card turned out! These papers really make the most of it too!

Elijah - 5 Pieces
This is a sketch from a
Verve challenge I believe. I added the circle at the top to give it a little bit of an extra pop. I just love these Scenic Route papers!

Liana - 5 Pieces
Thanks to Mojo Monday for this sketch! it was perfect for this BasicGrey paper with the eskimos, deer and Santa's!

Journey - 7 Pieces
As far as I can tell, by my notes, I think this is a sketch that I came up with from looking through my scrapbook magazines. I really like this card. I love how the pieces remind me of hopscotch squares!

Kinsey - 6 Pieces
Another Christmas card, get used to these you will see a lot of them in the next day or so! I used a sketch from Unscripted Sketches and I think it turned out really fun!

Kai - 5 Pieces
One of my new faves! The sketch for this card came from a challenge over at
Get Sketchy. I have had it for a while but not had time to do anything with it. I am so glad that I did make time though!

Farah - 5 Pieces
I have had this sketch in my book for a few months now, but just never got around to making it actually come to life. This weekend though I found some time to put it together and I have to say that I am really pleased with it! I do not remember if I got the inspiration from a sketch challenge or from a magazine but no matter what, it is just a cute card.

Jordie - 5 Pieces
For Christmas I made did a remix of my Jordie card. I absolutely love how it turned out. This paper from BasicGrey is beautiful and really makes this card look great!

Anderson - 5 Pieces

Britt - 5 Pieces
I found this GORGEOUS paper by K & Company at my local Michael's, and I HAD TO HAVE IT! Then when I was on the other side of the store picking up holiday ribbon, I found ribbon to match! Doesn't get much better!

Helen - 5 Pieces
I really like this card. The sketch came from
Mojo Monday and I wasn't sure it was something I would want to put together. I've been pushing myself to use more pieces and this one seemed very simple. I am really glad I did put it together though. I also love the paper I chose. So sweet and fun! And the stamp I used really works well with it!

Trav - 5 Pieces & 3 Brads
Thanks to the Ladies at
Sweet Sketch Wednesday for this week's inspirational sketch. Here's what I came up with, a simple but fun card that anyone can whip together! I love the little bit of "bling" that the brads add. I'm not a big embellisher, but I can handle brads here and there. I think this is a simple but sweet card that would be great for any occasion!

Luke - 6 Pieces
Here's another one of my Christmas cards that I've been working on. This is a simple little sketch that I came up with from a layout in my Scrapbooks, Etc magazine from May/June. It's simple and easy and quick to put together! Awesome!

Hayden - 7 Pieces
I say this a lot, but I LOVE THIS CARD! I can't help it! Look at it! It's beautiful! I'm LOVING this "Colorful Christmas" line by My Mind's Eye! I got the sketch idea from a layout in my Scrapbooks, Etc magazine from May/June. I'm not so sure I'll be able to send this to anyone this holiday! I may have to keep it to myself! If you do see it in your mailbox this Christmas season you better know that means you are super special!

Delilah - 6 to 10 Pieces
Thanks to
52/52 for this beautiful sketch! I had a blast using my "Colorful Christmas" paper on this super cute card. The reason I say that it can be anywhere from 6 pieces to 10 pieces it is because my original sketch did not include the circle or the sentiment strip, and I intended for the blue and striped strips to be continuous background pieces. On this card though I cut the top and bottom strips independently of each other instead of using full pieces. I love this paper and want to make it last as long as possible! I LOVE HOW IT TURNED OUT! These papers are so my style, I know the traditional Christmas colors are great, but these are so ME! I can't wait to see what else I can get out of them!

Jordie - 5 Pieces
My latest card, Jordie, is fun and simple and I really really like it. One of the cute girls that works at my LSS just got engaged and is SO excited about it. She's always so sweet and cute whenever I'm in there that I wanted to make her a little card and this is what I came up with. Now i just need to actually give it to her!

Daphne - 6 Pieces

Parker - 6 Pieces
For the card class I'm teaching this month at my LSS I wanted to re-make the cards I'll be teaching with Halloween paper. I love how they turned out!

Selena - 6 Pieces
The sketch for this card came from last week's Sweet Sketch Wednesday Challenge. I love how it turned out. These papers from the 3 Bugs in a Rug, Simple Pleasures line really challenge me because they don't have any real "solid" patterns in them. But I Love Them!
This card actually has a purpose. Imagine that! Using one of my cards as a card, not art! What a concept! I have a
Scentsy order that is coming in today from my
consultant, and I am SO FRICKIN' EXCITED! I love Scentsy. Let me re-emphasize that: I. Love. Sentsy. My super fun consultant, Tiffany, was so patient with me and my huge order (thanks to the ladies that I work with for ordering too) so she will be getting this super cute card as a thank you.

Haven - 9 Pieces
Nine pieces is a lot for me! Totally worth it though! I love this card. Thanks so much to Mojo Monday for the beautiful sketch! I didn't use any ribbon, but I am still really happy with this card. I love how fun these Fancy Pants papers make this card pop! So fun and bright, this is me hanging on to summer with all of my might! I'm SO not a winter person! One other thing about this card that I like is the fact that I reused the cardboard lid flaps from box and used it to back the green piece of paper that I stamped the sentiment on. My own chipboard, and it was pretty much free! Sweet!
**BTW I forgot to mention that this card is on that I am using to play along with the
Fancy Friday Challenge over on the
Fancy Pants blog. I love their papers and have a blast using them. When I found their blog and their challenges I was so excited!

Daphne - 6 Pieces
I came up with this card layout from a scrapbook page from a magazine. I really like the layout but would like to re-do it with different papers. This one just has too much "solid" paper on it for my taste. I hope you like it though, I sure do!

Halloween Card - 6 Pieces
Here is the card I came up with from the weekly Get Sketchy challenge. I was super excited to start using my new Halloween line from
Fancy Pants, so I pulled it out for this card. I loved the little monsters on the papers, but ruined my two favorites trying to cut them out of the paper.
**Foiled again, Batman!** I'm not sure I am totally in love my my
Martha Stewart circle cutter, but it's all I've got so I'll make it work.

Ford - 5 Pieces
This card was inspired by a scrapbook page that I saw in a magazine. With my September card class coming up I knew it would be perfect paired with some fall-ish papers. Every time I look at the card though I get the odd feeling that it's sticking it's tongue out at me. OH WELL! I still really like it! Oh, and it's not named after Ford cards and trucks. I'm a Chevy girl, but the name Chevy will probably never make it on to one of my cards!
My Christmas paper came today! Wahoo! I'm starting my Christmas cards, have you thought about starting yours?? If you live in the Southern Utah area and want to come to one of my classes and get a head start, email me! I'd love to hear from you!

More traditional Christmas colors.

Super fun trendy Christmas colors.

Olinda - 5 Pieces
This is my take on the sketch challenge this week at
YMBD. The more I look at this card the more I like it. I love the circle element and how simple the whole sketch is!

Riley - 7 Pieces
I love this sketch. The inspiration for it came from a layout I saw in a scrapbooking magazine. There are more pieces to it than I normally like to use but it doens't seem as overwhelming as I though it would. The papers I used hit me a little funny, but all in all I like the card.

Tori - 6 Pieces
This is my take on the
52/52 sketch for this week. I'm trying to use my "Lil Man" line of paper from Cosmo Cricket, and for some reason I haven't loved it the way that I want to. No matter though, the card came out really cute and I can't wait to try it with different paper.

Keaton - 7 Pieces
I love, love, love this card! Thanks to
Mojo Monday for the wonderful sketch! I was not so sure how it was going to turn out, but in the end I think it's going to be a longtime favorite! I have not had many cards that I've made with this line of papers from
Fancy Pants, that I haven't liked. Be sure to let me know what you think about the card. Thanks for checking it out!

Kade - 6 Pieces
I got this sketch idea from
Sketch This. It intrigued me with the offsetting squares and rectangles off of the top and bottom of the main rectangle. I'm not sure if I love the paper choice I used with this sketch, but I think this sketch will become one of my favorites. Hope you like it! Let me know what you think!

Laynee - 8 Pieces (7 Patterns)
This has to be one of my all time favorite cards! I need to thank 52 Sketches/52 Weeks for the inspirational sketch! I love the papers, I love the layout, I love it all! I usually try to keep the number of pieces that I use in a card down around 5 or 6. If I start getting more than that i try to use some of the same patterns twice. In this card I only used one pattern twice, and that is the yummy stripe on the left and bottom, the rest are all different, and I love it! I've really gotten out of my comfort zone using this Cosmo Cricket paper, and it's really paying off! Have I mentioned that I LOVE THIS CARD? Probably once or twice! I hope you all like it too. Let me know what you think! Use the quick buttons below or leave a comment!

Lexi - 5 Pieces
Thanks to
Get Sketchy for this super fun sketch! I pulled out my super girly paper (to offset all the manly stuff I've been gravitating to lately) and whipped this up. I am not a girly-girl, nor am I a tom-boy, I fall somewhere in that middle zone. I find I fall into that category in most instances in my life! Anyway, I have to say, for not being a girly-girl I do LOVE this super cute paper from Imaginisce.

Fae - 5 Pieces
I got this card idea from the Saturday sketch on
Unscripted Sketches. I think I would like it better if I hadn't used the yellowish/greenish paper for the background, but I still really like the card. I love the scallop on the bottom, but wish I was able to make them bigger. The brads were also fun on this card. That's two cards in a row that I used brads on. All in all it's a very cute and simple sketch you can use for just about anything. Thanks for checking it out! Let me know what you think of it! Have a great day!

Hudson - 6 Pieces
Thanks to the wonderful ladies over at
Mojo Monday I have this fun new card to show off today. I really love how it turned out! It's definitely got a masculine feel with the paper and I love that right now! I got to use some brads, something I don't do very often, and I think they really make the piece. I also used a chipboard piece to give the circle some dimension. I hope you all like it. Be sure to leave a comment if you want or just use one of the quick buttons below!

Olivia - 6 Pieces
I really wanted to get a card done this weekend, to be honest I wanted to get a few done, but one will do. I'm really pleased with how this one turned out. I love all the rounded corners and the fun layout.

London - 6 Pieces
This card idea came from this weeks sketch over at
YMBD, thanks guys! It was a real challenge for me to make it into a card and fit everything on, but I pushed through and I really like how it turned out. The paper is also left over from my recent Girl's Night Out, and I was a little worried it would be too much. It may be too much, but I like it. I keep pushing myself to do cards I would never do, use paper I would normally not use, and participate in these sketch challenges to push myself. And I like that too. Keep checking back in on me, and let's see what I come up with next!

Calvin - 6 Pieces

Lennox - 6 Pieces
Two new cards from the left over paper from my "Girls Night Out" with some of my In-Law's. I just have to say I really lucked out in the In-Law division. I love my husband's family! I love how these cards turned out. It was difficult to make a stamp stand out on the papers I used for the Lennox, but I think it still turned out alright!

Claire - 6 Pieces
Another Mojo Monday Challenge (
8.22.09) from this week. I think this card, with this paper, really made me step outside of my comfortable little box of card making. I find myself doing that a lot lately, and I have really liked the results, for the most part. I am usually a firm believer in alternating patterned and solid (and semi solid) papers in my cards. This card has no solid papers. And though it's pretty wild, I like it.

Ryder - 5 Pieces

Lola - 6 Pieces (5 Patterns)
The Lola card came from Mojo Monday's challenge from this week. They turned 100 this week and did one challenge a day. The Ryder card seems like it will be one that will translate to a masculine look very easily. I wasn't sure how these were going to turn out, but in the end I am really happy with them. I used paper from a company I had never heard of before, The Paper Company Studio, and after looking them up online I would like to use some of their other lines in the future.
