Wow, it's been a while! I have had a busy few months, stress at work, and then moving, yuck. I have finally gotten settled enough to start making cards again! Yay! The inspiration for this card came from
Unscripted Sketches, who is currently hosting "Christmas in July", check them out! The colors in this photo don't do the actual card justice. This is what I get for waiting for the last second to get my card made and get pictures taken of it. I used a really fun set of paper from
K&Company, the
Pink Posey line. I am not used to using papers with foil and glitter, but I am working on it! I actually really love the way this one turned out! I am so happy to have glue on my fingers again!
**A special thanks to my sister for giving me the scalloped circle punch that I used for this card!

I really like this card. The sketch came from
Mojo Monday and I wasn't sure it was something I would want to put together. I've been pushing myself to use more pieces and this one seemed very simple. I am really glad I did put it together though. I also love the paper I chose. So sweet and fun! And the stamp I used really works well with it!

Thanks to
Get Sketchy for this super fun sketch! I pulled out my super girly paper (to offset all the manly stuff I've been gravitating to lately) and whipped this up. I am not a girly-girl, nor am I a tom-boy, I fall somewhere in that middle zone. I find I fall into that category in most instances in my life! Anyway, I have to say, for not being a girly-girl I do LOVE this super cute paper from Imaginisce.

I really wanted to get a card done this weekend, to be honest I wanted to get a few done, but one will do. I'm really pleased with how this one turned out. I love all the rounded corners and the fun layout.

This card idea came from this weeks sketch over at
YMBD, thanks guys! It was a real challenge for me to make it into a card and fit everything on, but I pushed through and I really like how it turned out. The paper is also left over from my recent Girl's Night Out, and I was a little worried it would be too much. It may be too much, but I like it. I keep pushing myself to do cards I would never do, use paper I would normally not use, and participate in these sketch challenges to push myself. And I like that too. Keep checking back in on me, and let's see what I come up with next!

Another Mojo Monday Challenge (
8.22.09) from this week. I think this card, with this paper, really made me step outside of my comfortable little box of card making. I find myself doing that a lot lately, and I have really liked the results, for the most part. I am usually a firm believer in alternating patterned and solid (and semi solid) papers in my cards. This card has no solid papers. And though it's pretty wild, I like it.

Lola - 6 Pieces (5 Patterns)
The Lola card came from Mojo Monday's challenge from this week. They turned 100 this week and did one challenge a day. The Ryder card seems like it will be one that will translate to a masculine look very easily. I wasn't sure how these were going to turn out, but in the end I am really happy with them. I used paper from a company I had never heard of before, The Paper Company Studio, and after looking them up online I would like to use some of their other lines in the future.

Bree - 5 Pieces
This card came from a sketch from
Get Sketchy, one of my new favorite sketch sites! This is the GS #2 sketch, and I named it Bree after one of the very patient designers that helped me get their "blinkie" put on my blog (over there on your right). I have been dancing around this "Girl Friday" line by Cosmo Cricket at my local Roberts Crafts store for a few months now. I finally broke down and bought it when they had all of their paper on sale 40% off. Now I can't understand why I didn't buy it before! I absolutely LOVE this card!

Triston - 6 Pieces
This is one of my newest card layouts, Triston. It is way easy and very cute and looks great with feminine or masculine papers. I came up with this layout from a scrapbook page out of one of the magazines that I read. Personally, I think the card is cuter than the page that inspired it!

Hale - Feminie Papers - 5 Pieces

Hale - Masculine Papers - 5 Pieces
Personally I like the masculine papers better with this layout, but that's just me. I just love to see how different papers make the same layout look so different. Don't give up on a card or a page just because you don't like the papers. Just try different papers and you could end up with a something you love!

Chloe - 6 Pieces

Abbie - 7 Pieces
Here are the two newest cards that I have put together. I really like the layouts, and they look great with this "
Just Dreamy 2 - Delightful" line of papers from
My Mind's Eye. They are very feminine and super cute!
