After a few stressful months at work I have finally found some time to make a few new cards. I have some beautiful new paper, just in time for spring, and I am having a blast!
So, one of the blogs I read often is from
Verve Stamps. They have some of the cutest stamp sets out there right now. Well, this last weekend they were celebrating their new release "Spring Fling" with come challenges and giveaways! I knew I wouldn't have time to participate in the challenges, so I had a great time participating in the
Blog Hop. I went from one of the Designer's Blog to another, looking at their beautiful creations and making sure to leave a comment on each. By the end I knew I was totally in love with the new stamps they were rolling out. Especially their "
Big Wish" set, I am a
sucker for "Happy Birthday" stamps!
The lovely ladies at the Verve picked the winners today, and
I WON! The winner of the Blog Hop, won the entire new release! That means not only do I get the "Big Wish" set that I wanted SO badly, I get all of the stamps from the collections they just released! That breaks down to: 5 different stamp sets, and
5 Plain Janes. That totals 48 stamps!
When I pulled up their blog today and started reading, all of a sudden my eyes say my name, in BIG letters. For a minute I was really confused, "why is my name on their blog?" I had to back up and finish reading. When I realized that I had won I had tears in my eyes, I couldn't believe it!
I would like to thank everyone with Verve Stamps for this great prize! I cannot wait to get my hands on it and start making some beautiful cards!

Since I have finally found a minute to make some cards lately, I figured I should post them. This is the Faith card. I got the inspiration from a Sketchy Thursdays Challenge. I love the "

I know its been F-O-R-E-V-E-R since my last post. Terribly sorry about that. The funny thing is that last post was back when I had my week off from work. I got so much done that week and I was feeling so good about life in general. Then I get back to work and my life exploded into chaos again. The bank I work for moved into a new location and I worked for 13 days straight to make it happen. Those are not "bankers hours" in any sense of the words. On top of the stress of moving, I have had no time to create anything since before Christmas! It's been absolutely awful! Creating is my stress reliever. It's what keeps me sane, and let's me see that I can make something beautiful out of random stuff and that is really important for me. It also helps me realize that I am not my 9 to 5. I am something completely different and amazing. Its a side of me that my 9 to 5 seems to take away during the day. When I have glue covering my fingers and in my hair, ink on my face and hands and glitter stuck to everything I am at my happiest! And I am happy tonight. I made a new card and even tried my hand at embellishing a notebook. Watch for pictures soon. As for right now, I am going to go get some more glue in my hair before I have to go to bed!
